Thibaud Coradin obtained his PhD in Materials Science at Université Paris 11 in 1997. He was a post-doc in the Royal Institution of Great Britain (London) and Temporary Assistant Lecturer in ENSCP. He was appointed as a CNRS research fellow in 1999, in the Laboratoire de Chimie de la Matière Condensée de Paris where he developed biomimetic approaches to cell encapsulation in inorganic and then in collagen-based materials. He was promoted Research Director in 2007 and funded the “Materials and Biology” team in 2009, gathering chemists, biologists and physicists to study cell-materials interactions and their application in biomaterials design.
